Local election candidates face questions at Danby Hustings

With support from UNITE and Green Party MP Caroline Lucas, in the form of a parliamentary motion, and with the Labour and Lib Dem local candidates pledging their support last month to the campaign, UKIP candidate Sam Cross has now also pledged his support for the campaign.
The meeting took place in a familiar 'Question Time' format that was chaired by Johnston Press Editorial Director Ed Asquith. The candidates in attendance were Mike Beckett (Lib Dem), Ian McInness (Labour), David Malone (Green), Sam Cross (UKIP) and Robert Goodwill (Conservative). Below are brief clips of each making a statement in response to the Botton question, presented in the same order as they spoke on the evening.
